RapidlabelsUsage

Labels are created and managed between MockUp and a tabbed multi-platform user interface, known as the Label GUI. Parts are selected in MockUp, and text and other attributes added from the Label GUI to dynamically create labels in the MockUp 3D view. From within MockUp the labels may be positioned or selected for editing or deletion. The Label GUI also controls all the label visual attributes such as colors and sizes, which can be used to show importance or type of information that the label contains. Finally labels can be managed in groups called Label Sets that themselves may be saved to files and later restored.

The Label Editor allows users to create and edit the text, and to determine the basic properties of the label such as whether there is a leader line to a part, and whether the label border or background is to be shown. It can also be used to delete labels from the 3D view.  Text is displayed using a proportional-spacing font.  Multiple lines and tabulated columns are supported within any label.  There is no limit to the amount of text that a label can contain. There is also no limit to the number of labels that can be managed or stored at any one time. To manage the screen space there is also a Global Scale control that allows the user to scale all the labels to the desired size.

The Label Manager allows the user to create sets of labels and to save them to external files. Using the multi-select properties of the label set manager, groups of label sets may be switched in and out, and mixed together at any one time. This may be useful to show combinations of information or to switch between different sets of labels that could for instance represent a sequence of design reviews.
